Bob Dylan – Nashville Skyline
Nashville Skyline is Bob Dylan’s ninth studio album and was released on April 9th, 1969. The album topped out at number 3 on the US Charts and went to number 1 in the UK. This album was a departure from previous releases as Dylan embraced a full-on country sound. The album produced three singles, all getting significant airplay with Lay Lady Lay reaching number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Electric Light Orchestra – Eldorado
Eldorado is the first concept album from ELO and was released in September 1974. The album chronicles the journey as the main character dreams of fantasy worlds to escape reality. This was the first album where bandleader Jeff Lynne hired an orchestra instead of overdubbing the strings himself. The album was ranked #43 on Rolling Stone’s “50 Greatest Prog Rock Albums of All Time”.
