John Lennon – Plastic Ono Band

The debut solo album by star John Lennon, Plastic Ono Band, was released in 1970. It was issued after John Lennon and Yoko Ono began making experimental album and was released alongside Yoko Ono’s album by the same name. Plastic Ono Band is largely considered Lennon’s finest solo album which documents his emotional and mental state at that time in his career. Plastic Ono Band showcases a multitude of hits such as: “Mother,” “Hold On,” “I Found Out,” “Working Class Hero,” “Isolation,” “Remember,” “Love,” “Well Well Well,” “Look at Me,” “God,” “My Mummy’s Dead”, and among the reissue of the album; “Power to the People,” and “Do the Oz.”

John Lennon – Mind Games

The third studio album by star John Lennon, Mind Games, was released in 1973 and was the first album self-produced by Lennon. Upon release Mind Games received mixed reviews due to its topical political nature but would peak at #13 in the UK and #9 in the US where it was subsequently certified gold by the RIAA. Mind Games hosts a handful of hits such as: “Mind Games,” “Aisumasen (I’m Sorry),” “Bring on the Lucie (Freda Peeple),” “Nutopian International Anthem,” “Out the Blue,” “Only People,” “I Know (I Know),” and “Meat City.”
