Cat Stevens – Teaser and the Firecat

The fifth studio album by Cat Stevens, Teaser and the Firecat was released in 1971. Stevens also created and illustrated a children’s novel under the same name. The album was an instant commercial success and platformed off of Stevens’ previous album Tea for the Tillerman. Teaser and the Firecat showcases a handful of hits by Stevens’ including: “Morning Has Broken,” “Moonshadow,” and “Peace Train.”

Big Brother and the Holding Company Album – Cheap Thrills

Big Brother and the Holding Company’s last album featuring Janis Joplin as the lead singer was Cheap Thrills released in 1968. Cheap Thrills reached number one on the Billboard charts and lasted for eight weeks. Largely considered the most successful album of 1968. Cheap Thrills was certified double platinum by the RIAA and showcases hits such as: “Summertime,” “Piece of My Heart,” and “Ball and Chain.”
