Peter Frampton – Frampton Comes Alive!
Peter Frampton released the double rock album Frampton Comes Alive! in 1976 and was a major breakthrough success for the English rock artist. Frampton Comes Alive! reached number one on the Billboard 200 and stayed there for 10 weeks. Frampton Comes Alive! is largely considered the best selling album of 1976 and also one of the best-selling live albums ever made. Frampton Comes Alive! was certified platinum retroactively in 2017 selling over 11 million copies worldwide. It showcases a plethora of hits including: “Show Me the Way,” “Baby, I Love Your Way,” ” Shine On,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” and “Do You Feel Like We Do.”
Otis Redding – Live in Europe
Sadly Live in Europe was the first and only live album recorded by American soul singer Otis Redding. Live in Europe hit the shelves exactly five months before the death of the singer. Having generated commercial success the album is ranked among Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 500 greatest albums of all time at number 474. Live in Europe has a handful of hits by Redding such as: “Respect,” “Can’t Turn You Loose,” “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long,” “My Girl,” “Shake,” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “These Arms of Mine,” “Day Tripper,” and “Try a Little Tenderness.”
