At the 97th Academy Awards on March 2, 2025, music legend Mick Jagger surprised attendees by presenting the Best Original Song award. The Rolling Stones frontman revealed he wasn’t the first choice for the role, stating that producers initially approached Bob Dylan, who declined. Jagger humorously noted that Dylan suggested finding someone younger, to which he responded, “I’m younger—so here I am.”
The award went to “El Mal” from the film Emilia Pérez, composed by Clément Ducol and Camille. This win added to the film’s accolades, with Zoe Saldaña also securing Best Supporting Actress for her role in the same movie.
