A small plane crash at Oakbourne Country Club has claimed the life of a Lafayette businessman.
Greg Manuel, 73, was pronounced dead at the scene when his plane that had taken off two minutes prior from Lafayette Regional Airport went down on the golf course at Oakbourne. Manuel was the founder of Manuel Builders.
Officials with the FAA began their investigation Thursday while representatives from the NTSB are expected to arrive Friday.
