Carencro High School has a new principal. Vanessa Knott has been promoted from the position of vice principal, which she’s held since August.
Knott has 25 years experience in Lafayette Parish schools. She’s a graduate of Northside High, where she previously served as assistant principal. Knott earned her undergraduate degree at UL, masters at LSU Shreveport.
She was named Teacher of the Year at Carencro Middle in 2000 & L.J. Alleman in 2012. She’s a four time LEF Teacher of the Year Award nominee.
LPSS Superintendent Trosclair Issued the following statement, “Ms. Knott has a proven and successful professional record, most recently stepping into the acting principal role for the last several months at Carencro High School. She has done a tremendous job as acting principal and I know she will lead Carencro High School to excellence!”
