It’s taken 3 years. Mount Pleasant Baptist Church will soon reopen. As you recall, an arsonist set the 147 year old church afire in 2019. Mount Pleasant pastor Gerald Toussaint says donations to rebuild came in from all around the world.
“God has used a whole lot of people to get it done and we can’t give no credit but to the good lord that it was done that way; because we had donations from all 50 states and 20 other countries so we know we had help from somewhere, it was a divine help.” said Reverand Gerald Toussaint to KLFY’s news team.
The first service will be this Sunday, November 6th, at 2 pm.
