Officials with Lafayette Consolidated Government have announced a street closure in downtown Lafayette. The 800 block of South Buchannan Street will be closed effective Thursday, January 18th. The closure is necessary to allow replacement of the elevator in the South Buchannan parking garage. Detour routes will be set up. The closure is expected to remain in effect until August 31st.
