Three Acadiana communities are among Louisiana’s ten safest cities.
A recent report from Safewise ranks Broussard the Bayou State’s 7th safest city. Scott is fourth, and Youngsville is ranked third for the second year in a row. Safewise compares rates for various types of crime, property, theft & violent crime, providing online resources.
Youngsville police chief credits his officers for his community’s favorable ranking.
He told KLFY, “Very proactive patrolling here. They will at night especially, go through neighborhoods with their lights off; and come back another time with their lights on. They will park their cars and walk in some instances.”
