Eagles – Desperado
The second studio album by the American band Eagles, Desperado was released in 1973. The album’s roots are based in the themes of the Old West and is the only album to feature the band members on the cover. The album would eventually go on to reach double platinum certification by the RIAA and spawned hit singles such as “Tequila Sunrise” and “Outlaw Man.” The title track from the album “Desperado” remains one of the Eagles signature hits but was never released as a single.
Johnny Cash – At Folsom Prison
Johnny Cash’s At Folsom Prison is a live album and subsequently his 27th commercial album which was released in 1968. At Folsom Prison was an instant commercial success even though the Columbia record label provided little investment into the album. At Folsom Prison reached number one on the country charts and 15th on the national album chart. Currently At Folsom Prison sits with a triple platinum certification from the RIAA and hosts a plethora of singles such as: “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Dark as the Dungeon,” “I Still Miss Someone,” “Cocaine Blues,” “25 Minutes to Go,” “Orange Blossom Special,” “The Long Black Veil,” “Jackson,” and “Green, Green Grass of Home.”
